“Into the Perilous Night...”

Sgt. Lo Sa (Lam Suet) is a Hong Kong cop who has lost his service pistol, and he has until morning to get it back before anyone above him finds out. Sgt. Mike Ho (Simon Yam) and his tactical unit patrol the streets that night, and Johnnie To follows them through one dangerous stretch of hours. Lo Sa keeps walking and sweating, and he cannot ask for help without confessing what he has done.
