“His family's future depends on one unstable element.”

Timofey (Paddy Considine) works at a Russian nuclear facility and wants only to leave his wife and son enough money to live on. Then a lethal dose of radiation tells him how little time he has, and he steals plutonium to sell on Moscow's black market, with a bumbling criminal, Shiv (Oscar Isaac), as his partner. Scott Z. Burns, in his first feature, stays close to Timofey as he walks Moscow's streets with the plutonium in his bag.
