Puccini for Beginners

“A love triangle of operatic proportions.”

Allegra (Elizabeth Reaser), an opera-loving writer, ends up in bed with Philip (Justin Kirk) right after her girlfriend leaves her over her inability to commit. Philip is so taken with her that he drops his lover, Grace (Gretchen Mol), and talks Allegra into carrying on. Maria Maggenti follows Allegra into a second romance, with Grace herself, neither woman knowing how the three of them connect.
