Pumpkinhead

“A grim fairy tale.”

Ed Harley (Lance Henriksen) runs a small store in the backwoods and wants nothing more than to get his only son back after a group of teenagers, riding dirt bikes, kill the boy by accident. Grief sends him up the mountain to a witch, who agrees to help for a price. Stan Winston, making his directing debut, builds a story about how a father's sorrow can curdle into a hunger that no longer cares who pays for it.
