Purge

“Love, Deception, Sacrifice”

Decades after Stalin's Terror sent her neighbors to Siberia, the older Aliide Truu (Liisi Tandefelt) lives alone in an isolated house in Estonia. One night she finds a young woman in her yard. Zara (Amanda Pilke) has just escaped the Russian mafia that held her as a sex slave, and the two circle each other warily. Antti J. Jokinen cuts back to the young Aliide (Laura Birn), whose past is tied to Zara's in a way she has kept hidden for years.
