Purple Violets

“A second chance for a first love.”

Patti Petalson (Selma Blair) was a promising writer once, but a marriage and a conventional job have kept her from the work she wanted. Edward Burns sets the film in lower Manhattan, where she runs into her first love, Brian Callahan (Patrick Wilson), now a successful crime novelist. Twelve years after college, Patti's chance to write again rests on how she handles him, and her friend Kate (Debra Messing) is watching.
