Professor Bernard Quatermass (Brian Donlevy) is a rocket scientist with plans for the first Moon colony, and he does not take no for an answer. When small, hollow meteorites start falling on a remote stretch of England, he traces them to a government complex that matches his own design. Val Guest follows Quatermass and Dr. Tom Brand (William Franklyn), the younger colleague at his side, as they push deeper into a place that wants them gone.
