Queen & Country

Why does a boy who survived the Blitz now find himself drilling on an army base? Bill Rohan (Callum Turner) is drafted, and he and his eccentric best mate Percy (Caleb Landry Jones) spend their days sparring with their snooty superiors, among them Sargeant Major Bradley (David Thewlis), and their evenings looking for love in town. John Boorman picks up the story of Hope and Glory, and Bill, still young, finds the army has a way of deciding things for him.
