Querelle

“It will take you into a surreal world of passion and sexuality, further than most would dare to go.”

The sailor Querelle (Brad Davis) steps off his ship into Brest and heads straight for a brothel run by Lysiane (Jeanne Moreau), where he learns that his brother Robert is her lover. Rainer Werner Fassbinder has the house keep one rule: roll dice against her husband Nono, and the winner chooses who goes upstairs with Lysiane. Querelle throws to lose, and Franco Nero's Lieutenant Seblon watches from the edge of it all.
