Quicksand

“A guy who yields to temptation just once...... ....and finds it's once too often!”

Dan Brady (Mickey Rooney) works as a mechanic in a small-town garage, and one evening he takes $20 from the register to pay for a date with Vera Novak (Jeanne Cagney). He means to put it back before anyone counts, but the bookkeeper comes in early. Irving Pichel follows Dan as each fix for the last mistake needs a bigger one, and a young man who only wanted a night out cannot stop.
