Quiet Life

A family of Russian refugees, Natalia (Chulpan Khamatova), Sergei (Grigoriy Dobrygin), and their daughters settle in a small Nordic town to start over, but resignation syndrome begins to drain the life from them. One by one, they withdraw into silence and stillness, their bodies present but their minds elsewhere. Avranas watches as Natalia fights to pull them back, each small gesture met with the weight of forces she cannot see or fight.
