Quinceañera

“Life's no walk in the park”

Magdalena (Emily Rios) is a few weeks from her fifteenth birthday in Echo Park, Los Angeles, and wants the full quinceañera, the dress and the party and the family around her. Then she learns she is pregnant, and her family turns her out of the house. She and her cousin Carlos (Jesse Garcia), thrown out for being gay, end up in the small house of their great-granduncle Tomas, where family turns out to mean whoever is willing to take you in.
