Quiz Show

“Fifty million people watched, but no one saw a thing.”

Herb Stempel (John Turturro) wants to keep winning on Twenty-One, the game show that has made him a name on television. Then the producers bring in Charles Van Doren (Ralph Fiennes), a better-looking contestant to replace him, and Herb starts telling people the whole thing is rigged. Congressional lawyer Dick Goodwin (Rob Morrow) takes up the claim, and Robert Redford builds the film out of his questions, the paperwork, and the long conversations that follow.
