Quo Vadis

Marcus Vincius (Paweł Deląg) is a young Roman patrician who sees Lygia (Magdalena Mielcarz), the daughter of a Barbarian commander killed in battle, and decides he wants her as his concubine. Lygia is a Christian, and to her that would be a sin and a disgrace, yet when Vinicius is wounded, she is the one who nurses him. Jerzy Kawalerowicz sets their courtship in Nero's Rome, where Michał Bajor's emperor is already blaming Christians for the fire.
