Rabia

Rabia (Megan Northam) leaves for Syria wanting a new life and a place to belong, and she brings her best friend Laila along. They are taken to a women's house run by Madame (Lubna Azabal), a charismatic woman who runs it with strict authority, and the door is locked behind them. Mareike Engelhardt keeps the camera inside those rooms with the women, and the film never steps outside them.
