Racing with the Moon

“It was 1943. And young men were counting the days before they went off to war...”

In a small coastal California town, two friends from blue collar families have only a short time left before they ship off to World War II. Henry 'Hopper' Nash (Sean Penn) starts courting Caddie Winger (Elizabeth McGovern), the new girl in town, believing she comes from money. Richard Benjamin puts Henry in the middle, with a girl he can't read, a friend he can't stop covering for, and not much time to sort out either.
