Radio

“His courage made them champions.”

In Anderson, South Carolina, in 1976, a town split along racial lines, football coach Harold Jones (Ed Harris) notices a young man nicknamed Radio (Cuba Gooding Jr.) hanging around his practice field. Michael Tollin follows the coach as he befriends Radio, who becomes his loyal assistant and a student at T.L. Hanna High School. Parents and fans grumble that the coach's time for Radio is costing the team, and the friendship becomes the thing Jones has to answer for.
