Radioactive

“Pioneer. Genius. Rebel.”

Two new elements have turned up in the pitchblende Marie Curie (Rosamund Pike) has been grinding down, and no one in Paris can say what is giving off that glow. Marjane Satrapi follows her through the discovery of radium and the marriage to Pierre Curie (Sam Riley) that grows out of working beside him, his hands as scarred as hers. They share a lab, a bicycle ride, and a way of talking that the rest of the Sorbonne can't follow.
