Rafiki

In a Nairobi neighborhood where two fathers are running against each other for the same political seat, Kena (Samantha Mugatsia) and Ziki (Sheila Munyiva) are neighbors and friends who both want more than the town expects of them. Their closeness slowly turns into a romance their families and church will not accept. Wanuri Kahiu, who made the first Kenyan film shown at Cannes, films their world in bright, saturated color.
