“The boldest rescue in history”

An Air France flight lands in Uganda with its passengers held at gunpoint, and the hijackers release some of them while keeping 94 Jews and 12 air crew. Yitzhak Rabin (Peter Finch) refuses to negotiate, and Brig. Gen. Dan Shomron (Charles Bronson) is handed a plan to fly fewer than a hundred commandos across Africa. Irvin Kershner shot it for television in grainy 70s film stock, and the pace stays tight from the first frame.
