Raiders of the Lost Ark

“The return of the great adventure.”

Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) teaches archaeology in a tweed suit, but what he wants is the Ark of the Covenant, and in 1936 the government hires him to find it before the Nazis do. His old flame Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) holds a piece of the puzzle, and his rival René Belloq (Paul Freeman) is already working for the other side. Spielberg keeps the whole chase moving at a run, with Ford always one step ahead of the next hat-grabbing scramble.
