(1947)Directed by Anthony Mann72 minThriller, Drama, Crime
“THE FACE OF DANGER was the face of the man she loved!”

Duke Martin (John Ireland) is a crooked boyfriend with a plan to rob the bookie operation in the back room of a beauty parlor. Rosie Ryan (Sheila Ryan), the beautician who runs the place, is caught up in the scheme, while Police Sergeant Mickey Ferguson (Hugh Beaumont) starts piecing together what happened. Anthony Mann shoots the whole thing in rain-slick black and white, keeping the dread close to the ground.
