“One afternoon can prove to be greater than a lifetime”

Manu (Ajay Devgn) travels to Kolkata hoping to borrow money from an old friend, and he looks up Neerja (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), the woman he once loved, who is now married to someone else. Rituparno Ghosh keeps them in one rented room and lets an afternoon of talk do the work. Each has dressed up their life for the other, and neither can afford for the truth to come out.
