Rambo III

“The first was for himself. The second was for his country. This time is for his friend.”

John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone), a Vietnam veteran living in Thailand, learns that his former commander Colonel Trautman (Richard Crenna) has been captured by Soviet forces in Afghanistan. He crosses into the war zone to mount a rescue, armed with nothing but his instinct for survival and a willingness to fight an entire occupying army. By the end, Rambo sits alone in the rubble, blood and dust on his face, the only sound his own breathing.
