Balakrishnan (Saikumar) and Gopalakrishnan (Mukesh) are jobless friends who answer a stranger's call and end up tangled in a kidnapping they never planned. A case of mistaken identity puts them in the middle of it, along with a third drifter. Siddique and Lal set it in Kerala in the 1980s, and Balakrishnan carries all of it with the worn patience of a man who has been waiting years for a job.
