Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson), a primatologist who raised the albino gorilla George since infancy, must stop him and two other mutated animals from destroying Chicago. A genetic pathogen has turned them into massive, raging creatures. Peyton cuts the action into kinetic bursts, favoring scale and velocity over coherence, and the result feels less like a story than a series of collisions.
