“Men are so Easy!... A Little Lace, a Pair of Lips, a Touch, and they Kill for you!”

Connie Dickason (Veronica Lake) loses her fiance to a feud between cattlemen and sheepmen, and inherits his ranch. She decides to run it alone against Frank Ivey (Preston Foster), the boss of the valley, and hires Dave Nash (Joel McCrea), a recovering alcoholic, as her foreman. André de Toth sets the two of them side by side on the ranch, where she trusts him with the work and he is trying to stay sober.
