Rancho Notorious

“Where anything goes… for a price!”

Someone has killed the woman Vern Haskell (Arthur Kennedy) was going to marry, and the only trail leads to Chuck-a-Luck, a ranch in a barren stretch of country where Altar Keane (Marlene Dietrich) hides outlaws from the law for a price. Fritz Lang sends Vern in under a false name, to live beside the men he suspects. The story turns on how long a person can hold onto a grudge while living among the people he is lying to.
