Randy Bowers (John Wayne) rides into a town where a saloon sits full of dead bodies and a bandit called Matt the Mute is already in the sheriff's good graces. Harry L. Fraser keeps it short, 53 minutes of black-and-white, with Sally Rogers (Alberta Vaughn), niece of the murdered owner, helping Randy slip the law's grip. Blamed for a massacre he had no part in, Randy runs from the sheriff's posse and heads for the cave where the real killers hide.
