Porfirio (Ignacio López Tarso) is a woodcutter who works the mountain for very little and wants a better life for the family waiting below. Then he and his companion Evodio (Germán Robles) come across the wreckage of a plane, and the dead aboard, and decide to take what the passengers left behind. Carlos Enrique Taboada keeps it plain and restrained, and Porfirio carries the weight of that choice as it settles in.
