Vicious animal attacks keep hitting Sheriff Jim Tanner (Eric Roberts)'s community, and nothing in the county can explain the bite marks. He and his assistant Barbara (Melissa Brasselle) trace the killings to Dr. Hyde (Corbin Bernsen), a former military researcher whose funding for a dinosaur cloning project was cut. Jim Wynorski, working for producer Roger Corman, builds the film from original footage and dinosaur scenes carried over from the Carnosaur series.
