Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale

(2010)Directed by Jalmari Helander83 min · RFantasy, Horror
“This Christmas everyone will believe in Santa Claus”

On Christmas Eve, an excavation near the Finnish border digs into the mountain, and the reindeer herds start to turn up dead. Young Pietari (Onni Tommila) lives with his father Rauno (Jorma Tommila) in the arctic cold, where the herders now have a winter's income at stake. Jalmari Helander leaves Pietari alone with a pile of old books about Santa Claus, and the page he reads is no comfort.
