Rasmus and the Vagabond

Rasmus (Erik Lindgren) is nine, an orphan who wants one thing: a family that will actually pick him, so he runs away from the orphanage. On the road he falls in with Paradis-Oskar (Allan Edwall), a vagabond who sings and plays the accordion and talks as if the world were a kinder place than Rasmus has found it. Olle Hellbom adapts Astrid Lindgren's book, and Rasmus keeps walking beside the man who makes him believe it.
