Raven's End

Malmö in 1936 is a city of cramped flats and laundry steam, and Anders (Thommy Berggren) wants out of it by writing. His father (Keve Hjelm) has no work and drinks, while his mother (Emy Storm) bends over wash tubs to pay for the family. Bo Widerberg follows Anders through the weeks after he sends off his first novel, and the news that Elsie (Christina Frambäck) is pregnant lands on a young man still hoping.
