Rawhide

Tom Owens (Tyrone Power), a stagecoach attendant learning the job, is stuck at a desolate relay station in the west with Vinnie Holt (Susan Hayward), a woman traveller stranded there. Escaped convicts take the place over, led by Rafe Zimmerman (Hugh Marlowe), and the two captives have to keep up the ordinary routine of the station. Henry Hathaway keeps the camera inside the station and lets the dread build through the long night.
