Read My Lips

Carla Behm (Emmanuelle Devos) is almost deaf, a secretary whose colleagues talk over her and take her work for granted, and she wants someone to need her. She hires Paul Angeli (Vincent Cassel), an ex-convict on parole who has no interest in being helped by anyone. Jacques Audiard follows the two of them as she reads his lips, and Carla keeps offering what he keeps refusing.
