Atsumi (Haruka Ayase) lies in a coma after trying to take her own life, and no one can say what she is still seeing in there. Her partner Koichi (Takeru Satoh), a neurosurgeon, uses an experimental technique to enter her brain and look for her. Kurosawa follows him down into sweltering marshes, where Koichi keeps walking and the line between what is real and what is not goes soft.
