Real Fiction

“The art of revenge, shot in real time!”

A nameless artist (Joo Jin-mo) paints portraits of strangers in a park, and he wants one thing from the people who pass him there: to be left alone with his work. They don't oblige, and each insult sits in him until he sets out to get even with everyone who humiliated him. Kim Ki-duk shot it in real time with no retakes. Underneath the revenge plot is a plain question of how long a person can swallow humiliation before it comes out as violence.
