“An American Comedy”

Albert Brooks (Albert Brooks) arrives in Phoenix with a film crew and a plan to move in with the Yeagers for a year and record their everyday lives. Warren (Charles Grodin) and Jeannette (Frances Lee McCain) agree, and Brooks sets up cameras around the house for a project modeled on the PBS series "An American Family". Brooks directs and co-wrote the script, and his own reputation rides on a family he is sure will make him famous.
