Dani Barnes (Nesta Cooper) is a nerdy high schooler who has liked Cameron Drake (Keith Powers) for years, and she wants him to notice her back. When he finally does, she ends up in the cross hairs of his ex, Alexa Medina (Alicia Sanz), a social media celebrity with a following to protect.
