“All marriages have their secrets”

A young woman (Lily James) says yes to Maxim de Winter (Armie Hammer), a wealthy widower, after a whirlwind romance, and follows him to his family estate as its new mistress. Ben Wheatley fills the house with servants and grand rooms, and Mrs. Danvers (Kristin Scott Thomas) runs it all, keeping the first wife's memory close. The new bride soon feels how little room that leaves between her and her husband.
