Rebellion in Patagonia

(1974)Directed by Héctor Olivera103 minDrama, History, Thriller

Nobody in the sheep country of Patagonia can say how long the wage strike will hold, only that the workers gathered around an anarcho-syndicalist society in 1920 have stopped work and are asking for better conditions. President Yrigoyen sends Lieutenant Colonel Zavala (Héctor Alterio) south to impose order. Antonio Soto (Luis Brandoni) and the other strike leaders now have to hold the line against an army that has orders and rifles.
