Recollections of the Yellow House

Lisbon, 1989, in the old section of the waterfront, where João de Deus (João César Monteiro) rents a cheap room in a family boarding house. He is middle-aged, poor and tormented by an illness. João César Monteiro, who wrote and directed, also plays him, and the film puts him among the landlady, Dona Violeta (Manuela de Freitas), and the other people sharing the rooms.
