Quinzinho (Matheus Nachtergaele) is a farmer in the interior of São Paulo who has promised his son Neco (Vinícius Miranda) a trip to the city to see a Mazzaropi movie. Luiz Alberto Pereira sends them down the road with Quinzinho's reluctant wife Zulmira (Gorete Milagres) and their donkey Policarpo. Along the way they pass through small towns with their own customs and local beliefs, and the journey stays about a father keeping his word to a child.
