A series of family murders pulls back retired FBI profiler Will Graham (Edward Norton) into the field. To understand the killer, Graham must consult with Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), the cannibal he once caught, now locked behind glass. The investigation tightens around Francis Dolarhyde (Ralph Fiennes), a man whose obsession plays out in the homes of the dead, his shadow lengthening across photographs and darkened rooms.
