Red Island

Thomas (Charlie Vauselle), not yet ten, lives with his parents on a French army air base in Madagascar at the turn of the 1970s. He reads Fantômette and starts to watch the grown-ups the way she would. Robin Campillo, who spent his own childhood there, fills the base with the Lopez family, Colette (Nadia Tereszkiewicz) and Robert (Quim Gutiérrez), and with the last easy years of colonialism, and we see them mostly through the boy's eyes.
