“THERE'S TROUBLE AHEAD!”
Johnny Torno (George Raft) wants one thing after his brother Jess, a young priest, is murdered in a hotel room: the man behind it. Jess's dying words send him hunting for a missing Gideon Bible, and Roy Del Ruth follows him from room to room as the clue keeps slipping away. Carla North (Virginia Mayo) is somewhere in the search, but Johnny keeps looking, driven by a grudge he can't put down.
