Red Road

Jackie (Kate Dickie) spends her days watching Glasgow through a bank of CCTV monitors, and she wants one man gone from her life for good. Then Clyde Henderson (Tony Curran) walks into frame, the face she hoped never to see again, and she can't leave him alone. Andrea Arnold shoots it handheld in natural light, and the tension runs between Jackie and Clyde, two people tied by a past that neither of them will talk about.
