“Never look back. Never look forward.”

Angel (Abigail Cowen) cannot account for why Michael (Tom Lewis) wants her, and she does not believe the new life he offers is meant for her. D.J. Caruso sets their story in California during the Gold Rush of 1850, where a first love has to hold against everything the frontier has already taught her. When Angel runs, Michael goes after her, and what he risks is the only home she has ever been offered.
