Redline

(2009)Directed by Takeshi Koike102 minAnimation, Action, Science Fiction
“The most violent race in the universe!”

JP (Takuya Kimura) is a daredevil driver who wants a place in Redline, the most popular race in the galaxy, run only once every five years. To get to the starting line he has to get past the mafia, the government and Sonoshee McLaren (Yu Aoi), a rival driver he can't stop thinking about. Takeshi Koike hand-draws every frame in his directorial debut, and a single missed qualifying slot means five more years of waiting.
